Fishing in Scofield with Kolton

Well we have had some fun this week hanging out with Kolton out in Price.


Saturday we went fishing at Scofield and Amber and I caught some fish. We woke up at 5am... Yes.. I was awake at 5 am.. I don't know what I was thinking! Once I was there I got my Powerbait on my hook and casted out and just got settled down on my nice rock when the first fish took the bait. We think it was in the 2lbs range. I thought we were going to have a great day after getting a hit so quick but that was the only bite I got all day.

Just as we were thinking about packing it in for the day Amber caught a great big fish. we

think it was in the 3lbs range. Amber was happy because she did not want to get out fished by a rookie. So she was glad that she beat me again.

Kolton had a lot of bites and lost hit bait numerous times but did not get a fish in. I am sure he will have better luck next time.


Kolton is having a good time at our house playing Madden Football and Baseball on the Wii. Kolton and I watched JAWS and when it was all over I asked him if he was ready to go swim in the ocean and Kolton said NO WAY!! As I am writing this Kolton is having a good cry because his beloved Saints lost the Hall of Fame game ot the Steelers. Poor Drew Brees only had 6 yards passing.. The kid is taking it hard.

I have a few more fun things planed for him this week but that will have to wait for the next update.
